Sem o caos de Milão ou de Paris, e com aquele charme do renascimento, numa rua bem cosmopolita, onde se encontram as colecções inteiras.

Como se lê abaixo, Michael Kors está na Celine. Pena não estar ele mesmo na Tornabuoni, senão já o tínhamos 'agarrado', até porque não o encontramos em retail stores.

Pena a Celine ser feminina, porque Michael Kors é sem dúvida nenhuma um dos grandes nomes da roupa desportiva para homem, apesar de os americanos darem poucas cartas -- our opinion -- na moda.

Alguém ajuda? Ou é mesmo preciso ir aos EUA? É que a Fashion Clinic e a Loja das Meias de Cascais podem ser importadores, mas bem fraquinhos. E não há como uma flagship store. Anyone?

Celine

Michael Kors, who took charge of this label a few years ago, gave Celine a breath of fresh air and the label was suddenly centre stage. He has now left and a new designer was about to be announced as we went to press, but the underlying New York Park Avenue power look is definitely still on the table. Celine is the latest big name to open on Tornabuoni. The space is sleek, with an all-white decor with dark wood trim on a floor covered with crisp sea-grass matting. You can see the perfect cut of the clothes even as they drape over the hangers. They are timeless, wearable things not targeted to a certain age or look; they are aimed at the fashion conscious rather than the fashion victim. Stylish celebrities who love this easy look include Angelica Huston, Lauren Hutton, Claire Danes, Gwyneth Paltrow and Rene Russo, who wore Celine beautifully in The Thomas Crown Affair remake. You will also find plenty of logo-splattered bags, and if you are looking for something a little different grab a pair of flip-flops for the beach in three fluorescent colours.
